- Oldest wooden-framed buildings in Canada still standing in Hopedale

- Hopedale Mission Complex and interpretation Center to view, three stories of artifacts and written materials collected since the late 1700's.

- Overlooks St. Mary’s River and is a sheltered harbor. Is also the point of entry to Battle Harbor.

- Located on the Trans-Labrador Highway

- Regularly scheduled flights into and out of the community.

- Servicing a population of approx. 500 people

- Home of scenic hiking trails, a sandy beach and situated on the Alexis River

- Accessible by road, located on the Trans-Labrador Highway

- Regularly scheduled flights into and out of the community

- 1 Regional nurse, 1 PCA and 1 maintenance.

- Accessible by flight, ferry approx. once per month.

- On the polar bear migration route.

- On the eastern side of an island in the Atlantic Ocean.

Mani Ashini

- Built in 2001

- It's a part of the Mushuau Innu First Nation reserves.

- Population of ~ 1600, servicing the communities of Sheshatshiu and North West River.

- Two regional nurses one nurse practitioner, one clerk, one PCA, one domestic worker. Physician and residents regularly visit. Public Health is the building managed by the Innu Band

- 30 minutes from Goose Bay by road

- Regional Nurses work typical office hours, after hours emergencies are directed to the Labrador Health Center in Happy-Valley Goose-Bay.

- Also has an ambulance service and paramedics.
