Staff Testimonials
Nurse Chelsea, Regional Nurse II

I signed a two year contract to work in the Charlottetown Nursing Clinic. I fell in love with the community and the work. The level of autonomy we have and the opportunity to really make a difference in my clients’ lives is amazing. My family and I love exploring the outdoors, skidooing, boating, 4 wheeling and fishing. I’ve been here for 10 years now and can’t imagine ever going back!

Staff Testimonials
Nurse Stephanie, Casual RN

The ability to Nurse in remote places, with an expansive scope of practice while learning and valuing the cultures of the populations you are blessed to serve, has made me one of the most grateful Nurses in NL!! Working with LGH is not only an amazing professional opportunity, it has been such personal growth and explorations of our varied communities along the coast! I truly love Nursing with LGH in Coastal Regions, and have shared my experiences so many times with whoever will listen, that Nurses have told me they’ve sought opportunities themselves from my sharing!!

Nurse Sherri-Lee

I started coming to the coast 6 years ago and love every minute of it. Each locum I am given the opportunity to learn new and or enhance my nursing skills while also enjoying the adventures the Bigland has to offer. The enhanced scope of nursing practice, the sense of community and the friendships I have made along the coast makes me long to come back. The work, the people, the culture and the great outdoors is like a new adventure in each locum.

Staff Testimonials
Nurse Cheryl Winters

I’ve been working as a regional nurse for the last 5 years in my hometown and while it can be challenging at times it is also very rewarding. I have had the opportunity to work with many wonderful people and a lot of learning opportunities. It’s also great to be able to raise my family practicing our culture and traditions, there’s nothing better than being able to jump aboard the boat or snowmobile to head out to the cabin, go on a boil up, do some fishing, or just go for a joyride. Coastal communities tend to be very close knit and it’s easy to make lifelong friends with people. If you are looking for adventure regional nursing is the place to find it

Nurse Hannah

There are so many reasons to love working on the coast of Labrador. Few jobs allow the opportunity to work at such an advanced scope of practice and living in the north can lead to so many adventures from catching your first char, to trying new local foods, to hopping on your ski-doo after work to enjoy winter evenings. I honestly can’t imagine living or working anywhere else!
